Administrator
A career where one has the opportunity to be involved and supervise a wide variety of areas all under one roof. The Administrator is responsible for the entire center and ensuring that state and federal rules and laws are being followed on a daily basis. The Administrator supervises all Department Supervisors and approves all budgets. The Administrator is also responsible for quality improvement of the center and for resolving personnel issues that arise. General qualifications include a background in gerontology/long-term care/accounting, and possessing organizational and excellent communication skills. A Bachelor of Science is required with an approved course of study by the Board of Examiners of Nursing Home Administrators and obtaining a federal and state license.
 
Office Manager/Billing Liaison
This position is an integral part of our Administration and front office staff. This position reports directly to the Administrator and must be detailed oriented and highly organized. The facility's office manager oversees the facilities books and records and heads up technology for the campus. This position must possess a general understanding of accounting and have excellent computer skills.
 
Nursing Services  
Charge Nurse
The Charge Nurse supervises the daily nursing care for their assigned residents. In addition, the Charge Nurse is responsible for providing direct care and for carrying out the physician orders which include: dispensing medications, performing treatments, documenting on the resident's progress, and maintaining frequent contact with family members. The Charge Nurse must have completed an approved Nursing Course of Study and be licensed as a Registered Nurse or a Licensed Practical Nurse. The Charge Nurse is directly responsible for the Director of Nursing.
 
Director of Nursing
The Director of Nursing, also known as the D.O.N., organizes and directs the overall operation of the nursing services within the center. The D.O.N. works closely with the Medical Director of the center in carrying out the medical needs of the residents. The D.O.N. is actively involved in hiring staff, approving all schedules, and maintaining a monthly budget, ensuring the proper documentation is being performed and the proper assessments are being completed in a timely manner, working closely with the Administrator, and following the state and federal nursing guidelines. Qualifications include an approved license as a Registered Nurse from the state of Ohio, supervisory experience, and a minimum of two years experience in the geriatric field. The D.O.N. reports directly to the Administrator.
 
Social Services/Activities  
Social Service Director
The Social Service Director is an integral part of our campus. This person needs to have the most current knowledge regarding Medicare, Medicaid and insurance programs. It is the responsibility of this employee to be the "ear" that listens to residents and family members and to be available to them. In addition to listening, he/she assist nursing in preparing goals to achieve specific outcomes or developing a plan to encourage the resident to participate in more activities. This person is primarily responsible for our admissions program that needs to be sure that all documentation is completed. Personal qualities of the Department Head position include compassion, problem solving skills, detail orientation and willingness to be flexible. Professional qualifications include, a bachelor of science in social work and a license from the state of Ohio in social work. The Social Service Director reports to the Administrator.
 
Food Services  
Dietary Manager
The Dietary Manager supervises the entire food operation of the center. The Department Head is responsible for ordering and maintaining an inventory of supplies, ensuring the kitchen is clean and meets the guidelines set out by the state and local health departments along with the guidelines set by the facility. The Dietary Manager prepares the schedules for the food service employees and maintains a monthly budget. This person works closely with the Consulting Dietitian in writing menus and carrying out the physician's prescribed diet for the residents. Qualifications include a high school education, experience wit hall duties required, completion of an approved Dietary Manager Training Course, and certification by the state. The Dietary Manager reports directly to the Administrator.
 
Public Relations  
Marketing Director
Our Marketing Director is our direct liaison with the communities. This is the person responsible for staging events on our campus, maintaining relationships with local doctors and hospitals and to act as the positive PR face of our campus. This position requires an outgoing individual who enjoys planning events and parties, and who which will attract the community to tour and reside on our campus. In addition to marketing hospitals and planning events, the marketing director develops marketing ads for the local newspaper and radio stations and spearheads with the corporate office the development of flyers and brochures. The Marketing Director must also be active in community organizations and clubs. This position foster creativity and requires thinking "outside the box" .. The Marketing Director reports to the Administrator and the Corporate Director of Marketing.
 
Environmental Services  
Housekeeping
The Director of Housekeeping is responsible for supervising the employees who maintain a clean and spotless environment. Daily duties include (but are not limited to) sweeping carpets, mopping floors, routine dusting, washing windows, and general cleaning. This position is ideal for an individual who enjoys making an impression on someone by the way their home shines. In addition, the duties for the Housekeeping Supervisor include managing a monthly budget, ordering supplies, scheduling employees, creating cleaning schedules, and being a hands-on supervisor. This position reports directly to the Administrator.
 
Maintenance Supervisor
This is a multi-task position perfect for individuals who enjoy working with their hands. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for repairing and maintaining the equipment in the entire campus and maintaining the building/landscaping. This position is ideal for someone who possesses skills in construction/electric/heating & cooling/painting/and routine household repairs. The Maintenance Supervisor must maintain a monthly budget, monthly maintenance reports, direct the disaster drills, and is the contact person for the overall safety of the campus. A high school education is preferred with the skills and certifications mentioned above
 
Maintenance Assistant
This is a multi-task position working directly with the Maintenance Supervisor. Knowledge in construction/painting/landscaping/electric/and heating & cooling is preferred. Duties change on a daily basis but range from routine painting to repairing equipment to landscaping. A high school education is preferred with experience in performing the skills listed above
